What to Expect

  • All tickets MUST be pre-booked to guarantee entry. This includes those with vouchers and season tickets. Tickets cost £10 per person (under 1’s free).

  • On weekends and school holidays our farm operates as a free-flow walk around. The farmyard opens around 11am and animal meetings run throughout the day with staff always on hand to help with touching, holding, feeding, and stroking. We withhold the right to temporarily close the farmyard due to animal activity such as lambing or if visitor numbers exceed capacity.

  • Handwash stations and foam sanitiser dispensers are placed around the site. Please clean your hands before each activity. Hands should always be thoroughly washed with soap and water after touching the animals, before eating or drinking, and after using the toilet, as sanitisers and wipes may be unable to remove contamination in the way that running water can. Adults should always supervise children’s hand washing at the farm to make sure it is done properly.

  • We ask all parents and guardians to supervise their children and any others in their party who need additional help. We also ask that they encourage children to follow hygiene and safety procedures, in particular in play areas, which you allow your children to use at their own risk.

  • Certain activities may not be suitable for all visitors, such as pregnant ladies and those with additional needs. Please follow all safety information given and/or speak to a staff member at any point before or during your visit if you have any concerns. We will be more than happy to advise and will make accommodations where possible. We reserve the right to stop any activity if safety advice is not being adhered to.

  • On weekdays during term-time we run scheduled morning and afternoon sessions due to limited staff. Animals can be seen by booking a guided baby toddler session (see 'Baby and Toddler Activities' page for more information).

  • Activity books can be found below and printed prior to your visit. Please note that we are not be able to lend pens so please bring these along if you wish to complete the activities.

  • Shoes should be removed and socks must be worn at all times in the playbarn. This rule applies to all.

  • We have a range of indoor and outdoor play suitable for all ages. Please note that the electric quadbikes are coin operated and will require 1 x £1 coin per ride.

  • Food and drink can be purchased from the playbarn cafe. Outdoor seating is available.

  • Picnics are welcome in our outside areas but you must take your rubbish away with you.

  • Due to the nature of our business, no dogs are allowed on site.

  • If you, a member of your household, or someone you have come into contact with, has experienced symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 7 days you must not enter the farm.

  • We do limit numbers onsite but ask for visitors to use their own initiative when moving around the farm. Please be mindful of others wishing to use equipment and do not remain in any one area for an extended period of time if busy.
